General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Asiedu Nketia has said the cap he wore during President John Mahama’s last statement to the public before conceding defeat, belongs to his son.
The baseball cap became the center of attraction and was mocked on social media with many describing it as a sign of defeat.
The General Secretary was wearing a smock and with an unusual combination, had a black cap on which was also turned backwards.
Speaking to Joy News, after President Mahama conceded defeat, he ironically said “I could wear anything that belongs to my family, sometimes my wife, now my son and maybe my daughter later.â€
On their defeat, he said, they would strategize and come back in 2020 to reclaim the seat as Ghanaians have decided.
