Policy think tank, Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) has counseled Ghanaian electorates to consider voting for any leader who has endorse the use of technology and willing to adjust with the current trends in the technology sphere as Ghana go to the poll on Wednesday December 7 2016.

According to Executive Director of STRANEK, Nii Tettey Tetteh in a statement, said “This world has become a global world hence we think that as a leader who does not see importance in technology and for that matter refuses to adjust to technology should not be voted to lead Ghana.”

The statement added that “STRANEK advocates for this based on the fact that, leaders all over the world including Ghana use emails and other technological innovations to make their work easier. Aside that, lots of activities have gone technological. Thus, if one is not willing to adjust to technology, it will be injurious to have one as President of Ghana.”

The policy think tank in appealing to Ghanaian electorates also said, it’s long overdue Ghana rub shoulders with other countries in terms of technology to develop rather than using archaic methodology to chase development.

Below is the full statement

CONSIDER A LEADER WHO ENDORSES TECHNOLOGY.
The Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) asks Ghanaians to consider voting for a leader based on his willingness to learn or adjust to technology.

This world has become a global world hence we think that as a leader who does not see importance in technology and for that matter refuses to adjust to technology should not be voted to lead Ghana.
STRANEK advocates for this based on the fact that, leaders all over the world including Ghana use emails and other technological innovations to make their work easier. Aside that, lots of activities have gone technological. Thus, if one is not willing to adjust to technology, it will be injurious to have one as President of Ghana.

Presently, there is 808.35 km fibre optic project completed to serve over 120 communities along the route from Ho to Bawku with a link from Yendi to Tamale and also extended to University of Health and Allied Sciences in Volta Region. The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre has been completed. E-Transform Ghana Project has as well commenced among many others.

It is apparently on that note as a think tank that joins in strengthening Ghanaian democracy will advise Ghanaians and especially the youth to consider voting for a leader who will be able to use emails and other technological innovations since this present world has become a world of technology.

A leader who does not use technology or refuses to adjust to the technological advancement should note be voted for lead Ghana or else Ghana will rescind to archaic ways of operational activities. This will basically take Ghana backward because that leader will not even read emails to get abreast with issues let alone get interested in innovations which will ease his work.

This is a passionate appeal to all Ghanaians and we hope this appeal will be taken hook, line and sinker.
Ghana deserves to move forward and deserves to rub shoulders with the developed countries but this is only possible when we have a leader who encourages the use of technology by living an exemplary life so far as technology is concerned.

We are indeed poised to helping to build our motherland Ghana.
