Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked for calm as we await the official declaration of results by the Electoral Commission (EC).

According to him, Ghanaians conducted themselves well during voting to much acclaim and must, therefore, a put up the same behaviour and allow the Commission some time to verify results before the final declaration.

Speaking during a live broadcast from his Nima residence in Accra on Thursday, Nana Addo stated, we have conducted ourselves very well so far and it is only fair that we give the Electoral Commission time to do the job it is mandated to do.

He noted that though the party's collation clearly gives them victory in both the presidential and parliamentary, where he stated they had won 49 new seats, they were waiting on the EC to officialise the results.

Our collation shows we have won but we are waiting on the EC to declare this "famous and historic victory".
