Sam George, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ningo Pram Pram, has urged Ghanaians to tone down on their criticisms and let President Nana Akufo-Addo settle into his new job.

Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM, George said it was too early to begin criticising the new government.

He said although the New Patriotic Party (NPP) starting criticising the former NDC administration on day one, there was no need for the NDC to replicate that.

He said there about 75 promises made by Nana Akufo-Addo, 30 of which had a 100-day deadline for fulfillment.

George said at the very least, the NDC must wait for 100 days before beginning to criticise Akufo-Addo's government.

"Mahama was hounded from day one. Many of my friends and colleagues think it is payback time. I am young politician and I must think about the future.

"I think we must give Nana Akufo-Addo some time to settle," he said.
