The quest to secure power after the December 7 polls is getting interesting especially with corporate people moving from their cozy air conditioned offices to the streets for vote canvassing.

Social media has seen a pair of pictures circulating with shares, likes and downloads showing Databank’s co-founder, Ken Ofori-Atta and his wife distributing pamphlets and preaching Nana Addo’s gospel to drivers and pedestrians alike.

With Ghana’s election in recent times being so keenly contested and results being so close and the election travelling to second rounds, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) sympathizing couple have taken it upon themselves to show the way and hopefully draw other business executives to the campaign.

Surely the hard core NPP followers will vote for presidential aspirant, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo but loyalist alone do not win elections, it is for that reason that undecided voters must be courted in a bid to give compelling reasons for floaters to decide on a particular candidate.

With age not really being on Nana’s side being 72 and another defeat on the third try narrowing the  window for him to be elected by the party to lead them in 2020 with Alan Kyeremanten and Dr. Bawumia around, Ken Ofori-Atta, his relative must have opted to go all out, eliminate all excuses and not only endorse the Former Attorney General and Foreign Affairs Minister but put feet on the ground and reach the electorates directly to impress upon them, a need for a Nana Addo regime to attain power to execute his one factory for every district, implement the Free Senior High School programme, improve the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and transform the economy swiftly.

After all he is a captain of industry and a booming economy as pledged by Nana would sit in nicely with the Databank don.
