Prez Mahama concedes to Akufo-Addo

Information filtering in from the camp of the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) indicates that President John Mahama has called Nana Akufo-Addo to concede defeat.

The NPP's presidential candidate has been in a comfortable lead since polls closed on Wednesday and has been projected by all major media houses to emerge victorious.

Though the Electoral Commission (EC) is yet to announce official results, all the other contenders, with the exception of the incumbent have reached out to Mr Akufo-Addo congratulate him.

But according to Nana Addo's press aide, Eugene Arhin, President Mahama placed a call to Mr Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his victory.
