Black Maidens paid USD 1,000 each

The national female Under 17 team the Black Maidens and Technical Team have been paid US$ 1,000 each by government to enable them leave for their various destinations,primenewsghana.com can confirm.

They have also been promised to receive the rest of their per diems next week with Management of the team not receiving any money yet.

In all, each, member of the team is expected to receive $2,800 and would now have $1,800 to receive following the intervention by government to pay $1,000.

The Maidens managed to reach the quarter finals of the U17 World Cup but failed to qualify failed to make it to the semi-finals after a painful 2-1 defeat to Korea DPR.

It was reported that the Maidens were neglected upon arrival in the country and their allowances were not paid and has since been lodging in a hotel at Accra.
