The Black Stars are set to begin their training regime today ahead of their World Cup qualifier against the Cranes of Uganda.

The Stars will be looking to defeat their Ugandan counterparts at the Tamale Sports Stadium in bid to appease fans who had grown apathetic since the World Cup fiasco in Brazil amid other money related issues.

Harrison Afful and Christian Atsu who earned call ups, both scored for their teams. While Afful netted for his U.S.A based team Columbia Crew, Atsu scored for Newcastle. Afful acknowledged that although he loves to surge foward and score goals to help his team, he is aware his first duty is to defend and stop opposing strikers.

Hearts of Oak’s Inusah Musa and others also earned invitations from Coach Avram Grant although they are to train with the team under observer status.
