The game between Cameroon and Burkina Faso saw a massive improvement of the the opening game of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nation in Gabon but the scoreline remained one all in both matches.

A superb free-kick from skipper Moukandjo gave Cameroon the lead in the 35th minute but was cancelled out in the second half by Issoufou Dayo's header.

Both teams displayed some quality football and maintained some resilience at defense throughout the game.

Group A now is now widely opened as all four teams have just a point heading into the next round of matches.

Especially, the result gives some hope to the host nation who were held by Guinea-Bissau despite the support from their home crowd.

Cameroon and Burkina Faso sold a very good game and the momentum of the AFCON is gradually building up.

Group B matches would be played tomorrow with Algeria and Zimbabwe to play the first game at 4pm.
