Emmanuel Tagoe aka Game Boy beat South African boxer South African boxer Mzonke Fana on Friday to win the IBO Lightweight title but it was not without drama.

The 43-year-old Fana, after managing to finish the 12 rounds, collapsed after the fight ended and had to be rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Having initially visited the canvas two times in the first two rounds of the bout, the South African stayed strong in the remaining rounds but received a lot of pounding from Tagoe who was declared the winner by a unanimous decision.

Fana who replaced Argentine, David Fernando Saucedo as Tagoe's opponent after he pulled out of the fight due to a shoulder injury had been optimistic of a win.

"I did not come here for vacation or a picnic.  I came not only to win but to confiscate the world title, he had stated upon his arrival in Accra.
