Ghana’s Best Player Latif Blessing not named in Ghana’s AFCON squad

The best player in the country currently, Latif Blessing of Liberty Professionals failed to make the cut for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon after his name was not included in the 26 –man provisional squad named on Monday.

The recently adjudged Most Valuable Player after last season's Ghana Premier League was unable to impress head coach Avram Grant he joined the team to train in Accra for four days.

The 17-year-old however did not appear disappointed as he looks forward and improve to earn a call up for subsequent competitions.

According to Coach Grant, the Black Stars would approach the upcoming AFCON with a mentality to win to competition which begins on January 14.
