The Black Stars will this afternoon hope to get their Russian 2018 World Cup Qualifier on course when they take on the Cranes of Uganda at the Tamale Sports Stadium at 3:30 pm.

The Ugandans pose a serious threat, as Coach Abraham Avram Grant concedes, describing Kigame’s men as “worthy opponents.”

Thankfully there are no injury concerns for the Stars as Gyan who is returning to the fold describes himself fit and Christian Atsu whose fortunes has dipped also says he is hungry for success.

Meanwhile Cranes coach seems to have measured expectation from the encounter. Coach Milutin Sredojević says his team comes to Tamale to take on the Stars as preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations  tournament which they qualified for after their 1978 outing.

He contends the team is developing its game to put in decent effort in Gabon.

Despite appreciable support even at their training sessions, some Tamale fans meanwhile desire for ticket prices to be reduced so more people can fill up the stadium. Such persons say the GH¢10.00, GH¢ 30.00 and VIP ticket of GH¢50.00 is on the high side requesting a GH¢5.00, GH¢10.00 and GH¢15.00 charge as was done for the Guinea game.
