Dansoman based Liberty Professionals left it late to retain their presence in Ghana’s local football league.

The club faced the very real possibility of being relegated from the league when their magician of a player, Latif Blessing who has dazzled keen football observers with his goals, assists, balance, composure and stamina turned on the magic a notch higher to push in 3 goals pass Bechem United’s Patrick Asempa to ensure victory for his team, coach George Lamptey and the fans.

But Latif’s goals could have meant little if they were demoted to the second division. It had to take former player and Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan to step in and pay the outstanding salaries owed the players that their moral was boosted to focus on the match and ensure survival in the premier league.

Gyan has reportedly pledged to release another monetary package to reward the players and coaching staff for their efforts.
