Two pharmacists have been arrested in the Upper East Region  for conniving with some health workers to steal and sell the anti-snakebites at exorbitant prices.

Some staff of the Zebilla District hospital who have been fingered are currently on the run.

According to District Police Commander ASP James Ankan, who confirmed the incident on Starr FM said although the suspects had confirmed purchasing the vaccines, they are unable to tell who they bought it from.

“We have joined hands with the BNI and we have arrested the two of them. They have admitted buying the item but they are unable to tell us exactly who sold it to them. They claim they bought them from a mobile van. But we are still getting some serious information which will help us,” he stated.
