GRA to tax casual, temporary workers

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), by a new legal instrument (LI) under the country’s Income Tax Act, 2015, Act 896 (as amended) and the Value Added Tax Act, 2013, Act 870 (as amended), will now be taxing casual and temporary workers.

Cedi stabilized in July, food prices fall

The annual consumer price inflation dropped to 16.7 percent in July from 18.4 percent in June as the cedi currency stabilised and food prices fell at the start of the harvest season, the statistics office said on Wednesday.
