The ‘Coalition Against ECG Concession’ has threatened to take legal action against government if it does not rescind its decision to offer the power entity cheaply out for some years.

Speaking to Agatha Asamoah, on GBC’s ‘Behind the News’ show, a member of the coalition, Issaka Salia said the group intends to mount pressure on government to forgo its selling quest and rather support the state entity to efficiently perform its core mandate of distributing power to citizens.

“We have a lot of activities lined up including going to court if government does not rescind the decision to give ECG out on concession.”

Meanwhile a communication specialist at the Ministry of Energy, Edward Bawa maintains government is doing all it can to get efficient and reliable energy for the country.
