Investigations indicate there has not been any wrong doing at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) as earlier suggested by the Minority in Parliament.

That’s according to the Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, who at a press conference on Tuesday June 4, dismiss claims by the Minority in Parliament that contaminated fuel sold by BOST to Movinpiina and Zup oil is on the domestic market.

The Energy Ministry has setup an eight-member committee based on the preliminary report from the National Petroleum Authority to investigate circumstances leading to the sale of a contaminated fuel to the two unlicensed oil companies.

A report from the Bureau of National Investigation has said that there was no wrong doing on the part of BOST

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Agyarko said BOST has done nothing wrong in the sale of the contaminated fuel to the two companies. We wish to advise that social commentators in future cross check their facts before making allegations that have the tendency of causing unnecessary panic among consumers of petroleum products.

But Minority in Parliament believes the report from the committee is a coverup from the Energy Ministry to protect their won.
