How to make money: Graduate unemployment has been on the rise in Africa, one of the reasons for which many graduates after school do not have anything to do is their mindset of I should work in the bank, or basically be employed by someone.

Every graduate wants to be employed in the traditional professions preached to them when they were kids. But in today’s world, term as a global village driven by technology backed by internet there are a lot of job opportunities online that can earn you enough to build, save, marry among other things you will need as an individual.

1.How to make money: Affiliate Marketing

One of the ways to make money online is to engage in affiliate marketing, most people do not know this is a money making avenue online.

Affiliate marketing is marketing the product of other people on a site you created yourself with a link to the product site itself after which you get 10% commission if anybody uses your link to buy from the company.

To do this you can create a website, a blog or with just a good social media presence like Facebook or Twitter to market these products to prospective buyers. Another thing to note is to have a strong niche which per the market statistics the type of product people easily and frequently buy.

For example, you pick a niche for body lotion or makeup for which most ladies and even men will be interested in, products like Victoria Secret and Dark & lovely’s link can be on your site directly link to theirs for which a commission is paid for any purchase.

Despite this approach being old, it is still relevant, there are some basic things that need to be done if you want to get money out of a blog you created.

You need to be consistent with the area or niche you selected to blog on, consistency first build your audience base and also trust in the long term.

Next should be providing the needed and relevant content with a focus on your niche.

If you are able to do these two, Google will trust you and your content will always appear on the first page of a search making it easy for readers to find you.

With this you can be advertising products on your site that will earn you money from advertisers, for instance, Ghanaian blogger Ameyaw Debrah makes a lot of money through his entertainment blog.

Posting videos on YouTube will also fetch you money with little or no stress. But before you can be able to gain monetary value from YouTube, the videos you post must be of good quality and content.

In Ghana and the world many people are always searching for videos on how to do something and that can be your focus, how to cook a delicacy, how to write a CV among other how to do videos are likely to get a lot of traffic.

A married woman who did not know how to cook Banku with Okro stew can rely on your video to prepare it.

4. How to make money: Selling Ebooks

This is also another online money making opportunity for young publishers, back in the University I have a lot of friends who publish books but securing a market for the books is a problem to them.

The online version of books which is soft copy should be available for sale for people to buy, due to advance technology, traditional publishing is gradually fading from the system because everyone prefers to purchase and read on their smartphones.
