Executive Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG), has lauded the effort of vice President Dr. Bawumia in securing a $15 billion dollar loan facility with China during his three-day visit to the place.
Dr Emmanuel Akwetey said if government could do more of this the country will be well positioned to transform the economy in the next 30years.

Dr Bawumia, shortly after arrival on Sunday June 25 from a working visit to China, announced  government had reached an agreement with the Chinese government for the mutual benefit of both countries.

Commenting on the loan facility, Dr. Akwetey said part of the finds earmarked for government’s One-District-One-Factory programme at the district level is in the right direction because-historically- the nation has not had that amount of money going into local development
