We won’t accept abusive words from musicians – Theresa Ayoade

The Chief Executive Officer of Charter-House, Theresa Ayoade, and organizers of the annual Ghana music awards have hinted that they will not accept any abusive words or comments from musicians.

Speaking at the nominees’ party of the 2018 edition of the Ghana music awards, she said that they welcome every criticism in good faith but will seek legal redress if they feel their rights have been violated.

She then advised that musicians can be upset or angry in case their expectations are not met, but she will plead that they pour out their grievances in a civilized manner.

“You can be upset, you can be angry but please address your grievances in a civil way, so we can work together to build the industry”

Again she asserted that they are a listening organization and are also welcome to suggestions, that’s why they keep making changes every year.

Patapaa's one corner loses out on Best New Act category

Apparently, Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song trended a lot and came with the ‘one corner’ dance craze of which even most prominent people and celebrities across Africa descended into the ‘gutters’ with the dance ‘fever’. Critics, as usual, descended heavily on the artiste and his song claiming the song did not carry any positive message and that the artist has no talent.

The Agona Swedru based artiste who came to the limelight after releasing his hit track ‘One Corner’, didn't make it to the Best New Act category and his fans seem very disappointed and need answers from the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

We Will Burn Churches In Ghana if I'm still alive by December – Shatta Wale Threatens

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale has said himself, together with his Shatta Movement will burn down churches in Ghana if he doesn’t die by December.

The Dancehall King made this comment in connection with the numerous prophecies making rounds after the sad news about Ebony's death. Shatta didn't to take it lightly after Prophet Cosmos Walker Affran CEO of Cosmos Ministry and also a motivational speaker took to Facebook and posted that 'Ghanaians should pray because he sees the nation mourning again.

Did you ever think Shatta Wale will go quiet, simply because he got signed to Zylofon Media? Hell NO!!

He is who he is and that’s what got him his large following and love.
Well, the Ghanaian dancehall artist has lost his cool again and this time not over news blogs but pastors who have reportedly prophesied he would die before the year ends.

This comes at a time when several videos of pastors prophesying the death of young talented dancehall artist Ebony have surfaced online.

In a short live video on Facebook, the Freedom hitmaker sent out a strong warning to such pastors who he believes want to use their fake prophecies to make money out of him.

                                                   Shatta_Wale on Pastors

Shatta Wale stated the said pastor will lose most of his church and family members to death unless they came out to apologise to him.

He again threatened that he, together with his Shatta Movement will burn down churches in Ghana if he doesn’t die by December.
According to him, he will carry this act unless the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo begs him.

“I dey see say some pastor say me ago die. Herh, me anor be like that oo. If we catch December and I dey give this long notice because I wan make Ghana see something. If we catch December, me and Shatta movement unless the president come beg we, we go burn churches for Ghana”

Doing a quick check, Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture and urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com realised the said prophecy was shared by one Prophet-Cosmos Walker Affran who in a post on Facebook said;

“Ghana should pray, I see a national mourning again the whole nation was in tears and this time is Ghanaian singer “Shatta wale”, and it is very close “death”. ” Thou saith the Lord ” prophecy by Prophet-Cosmos Walker Affran.”

Afia Schwarzeneger lambastes Zylofon CEO

On-air-personality and comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger has charged at the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah over his recent statement saying that he was trying to be popular over the death of Dancehall act, Ebony Reigns.

Nana Appiah Mensah caused a stir on social media last Saturday with his latest post in the aftermath of Ebony's tragic accident.

In a somewhat controversial tribute to Ebony, Nana Appiah suggested the late musician had wanted to be free from someone and urged the Zylofon Media CEO to make that possible by paying her bail out.

"We had a fruitful meeting and reached an agreement just last Tuesday”, his post stated while expressing "deepest condolences to the friends, family & Ghana. My deepest sympathies for the loss of a friend, pretty daughter and a proud citizen. Even in the dark, you're indisputably still one of Ghana and Africa's best of all times. We at Zylofon media, our hearts continue to ache terribly, as the anticipation for a colourful joyous welcome would now be grounded on void…”

Nana Appiah's post, which has been taken to mean that Zylofon was about to snatch Ebony from her current manager, Bullet, has received a lot of condemnation from a section of the general public for his post which had been deemed as insensitive.

Sharing her thoughts on Nana Appiah's claims, Afia Schwarzenegger has lambasted him for his 'pointless' post

"There was no point in what you wrote. There was no point in trying to be popular in someone's death. If we all find a "Bullet" in our lives, our careers would have been better", she posted on Instagram. According to the comedienne, it was immature of the Zylofon boss to have released such information because if Nana Hemaa (Ebony) had wanted to "tell the whole world about her terms with her boss...she would have done so through radio".

Ebony died in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway on Thursday, February 8. Afia Schwarzenegger is known to have been close to the 20-year-old.
