The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku has averred Ghana’s readiness to host the 5th edition of the much-awaited All African Music Awards (AFRIMA).

This year's AFRIMA seeks to reward and celebrate musical works, talents, and creativity around the African continent and will also be an opportunity for Ghana to showcase our talent and rich culture.

Catherine Afeku earlier in an interview with Andy Dosty on HitzFM charged Ghanaians, and especially patrons of the 2018 AFRIMA, to put up the best of behavior before, during and after the event and act as ambassadors of Ghana.

“I would entreat each and every one of us [for this very week] to be extra courteous to support our guests. Those who may be encountering you may ask questions. Let us all be ambassadors of our nation because we are putting Ghana on the map,” the Tourism Minister said.

The fifth edition of AFRIMA 2018 is set to commence from November 21-24.

The award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Accra International Conference Centre, AICC.
