Actress, Yvonne Nelson has opined that there is actually no cause to be happy about Ghana’s independence day because the people and the leaders keep failing Ghana each day.Â
In a post on her Instagram page, Yvonne thew a question asking if one is happy to be a Ghanaian, and also expressed her disapproval of the conventional independence day wishes that flood social media every 6th March.
According to Yvonne Nelson's post, there is no cause to be happy about Ghana’s purported independence because the country was sold ages ago. She stated that she is only happy for life amid blaming the leaders and the citizenry for failing the nation daily.
"Happy independence day?? Are you a happy Ghanaian? So much i wanna say but maybe some other time! There's really nothing to be happy about! I'm just thankful for life! As for Ghana, we the people and leaders fail her daily! We sold our country ages ago!" she said.
