Music great, Kojo Antwi, has said that he is better than highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.

In an interview with Accra-based Joy Kojo Antwi said he considered himself to be on the same level as African greats like Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour.

Kojo Antwi said that although Dady Lumba was a great musician, he did not match up to that standard.

“Daddy is a great musician, he’s inspired me a lot, we were meant to be here at this time but for me I think, if you listen to what I do, the kind of shows I do and the rest.

"I think when it comes to comparison, I’m not saying Daddy Lumba doesn’t deserve to be there, but I think my target as being with the Angélique Kidjo, Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour, [I am way up]. If you don’t achieve that, you will fall in between,” he said.

Apart from the numerous Ghanaian awards, he has won two Kora Awards and he is the first Ghanaian to be nominated for the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards in 2010.

Some of his popular songs include Adeipena, Akonoba and Densu.
