Contemporary gospel singer, Nana Yaw Boakye, commonly known on stage as MOG Music, has promised to be the first gospel singer to represent Ghana at the Grammys.
According to the singer, he initially wanted to keep details of his project a secret.
However, he said he was working on a project that will give him the technical know-how on how to get into the Grammy’s as a gospel artiste.
He added that he’s been able to talk to people who work with the awards scheme but it seems Ghanaians have not shown interest in wanting to collaborate with artiste in the states.
He believes by the year 2022 Ghanaian gospel artistes will have worked their way through and also gained recognition for the Grammy awards.
“I didn’t want to talk about it, it was part of the project I went to work on. How to research, how to get into the Grammy’s as a gospel artiste. I was able to connect with people that work on these boards and they gave me the criteria and the process of how we on the outside can get into that space to be noticed.
"Surprisingly, it’s very open but because there’s not been much research they have never received any request from Ghana, nothing. I have the blueprints I will share with my colleagues I’m not going to keep it to myself probably by next year we will work on it and see what will come out of it,” MOG Music told Hitz FM.

Be Lifted, God of Miracles, Redeemed, Awesome God, and Elohim are some of the popular hit songs of the gospel singer.
He won the Male Vocalist of the Year 2020 and 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
MOG Music released his first album in 2016 "New Wine” which earned him African Gospel Music Awards Nominations for "Album of the Year" and "Discovery of the Year". He released a single "Making it Big" featuring Sarkodie.
He has collaborated and performed with numerous gospel musicians, including Ohemaa Mercy, Joe Mettle, Denzel Prempeh, Jekalyn Carr, Danny Nettey, Nii Okai, Ron Kenoly.
