Lagos State Police has arrested Nigerian hip-hop artist David Adekeke, popularly known as Davido over the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike, Wednesday.
Tagbo's body was found dumped in a Toyota Camry car in front of the Lagos Island General Hospital by unidentified persons.
The incident went viral on social media two weeks ago, while Davido received public criticism as an actress and supposed girlfriend, Caroline Danjuma accused Davido of being responsible for the death of his friend Tagbo, on her Instagram page.
The musician has been invited for questioning by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ikoyi, Lagos, Wednesday, where he will be questioned by senior officers.
It has however been gathered that the new invitation by the police has to do with fresh revelations that Tagbo died out of suffocation.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, confirmed that the musician was being quizzed following the revelation by the CCTV footage that he and his friends dumped him in the car and ran away.
Davido has repeatedly denied allegations that he was involved in the death of his friend.
