Award-winning gospel minstrel, Ohemaa Mercy in a recent interview has disclosed her support on the building of the National Cathedral saying God deserves a house in Ghana.

Despite several opposition views regarding the construction of a National Cathedral in the country, gospel artiste, Ohemaa Mercy in an interview on HitzFM's 'Daybreak Hitz' with KMJ, disclosed her 100% support to President Akufo Addo for having the passion to build the National Cathedral.

She further explained that "every country that doesn't have a house of God, doesn't have the presence of God" and for Nana Akufo Addo to have the passion to build the National Cathedral in Ghana will be a way to experience the favour of God.

Ohemaa Mercy stated clearly that you need to have a special gift before one can have the passion of building a house for God in a country.

"When it comes to building the house of God, is not just anyone, is a gift and at the same time a calling from God, so for our President, Nana Addo to have the passion to the build the National Cathedral its means he has the calling before he was born"

"I support him 100% and Ghanaians will be surprised with the kind of blessings and favour the country will receive," she said.

Meanwhile, controversial former AIDS Ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has been spotted in a viral video mocking the various fundraising ceremonies held both in Ghana and in Europe by the President Akufo Addo to help build a National Cathedral for the nation.

In the video, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah tried to draw the attention of Ghanaians to other challenging situations in the country that needs to be attended to than building a National Cathedral.

“We are building a church for Jesus Christ to come and live in Ghana because we have too many problems. We do not have enough schools for the children, we do not have enough drinking water, we do not have ambulances so when people fall sick they die”, she explained.
