Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has showered praises to Shatta Wale and the Inspector General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare for successfully scaring Prophets in Ghana against doomsday prophecies.

In a recent post on her Instagram page, Wendy Shay revealed how a prophecy of her kidnap caused her great fear and emotional stress.

According to Wendy, she became scared after that prophecy and was always uncomfortable anytime she stepped out of her home.

But following the orders of the IGP regarding prophecies, no Prophet in Ghana made any 31st-night prophecies of the New Year.

In a reaction to this, Wendy Shay mentioned that Shatta Wale is the pioneer of this whole new rule and hence Ghanaians needed to celebrate him.

Wendy wrote, ”In 2020 a prophet prophesied that I was going to be kidnapped..the fear and panic alone oh God.

For the first time in so many years we have crossed 31st night without any doom prophecy.

Thanks to the IGP but the sacrifice was made by @shattawalenima.

I celebrate you King👑”.

It could be remembered that Shatta Wale faked that he had been shot in order to create awareness against doom prophecies that had become the order of the day.

Also, the Police Service had said, they will go after and prosecute any religious leader who will prophesy harm, danger and death of any individual or group without proof of the prophecy being true.

The same fate also awaits all who publish such information or share same via electronic means, especially where the said communication has the potential to cause fear and alarm to the public or endanger lives.
