Multimedia entertainment company, Zylofon Media has hinted it is capable of signing Sarkodie on its record label if it decides to.
In response to a question as to whether Zylofon Media is considering signing up Hiplife Artiste, Sarkodie, the Public Relations Officer of Zylofon Media, Sammy Baah, the brand is capable of signing any artiste in the country.
“Zylofon Media can sign any other artiste if we feel it will be a good thing to do. It’s a decision at a point in time we will make if the need arises. Of course, if leaders one day decide that, now looking at the drive, looking at the next destination if we get Sarkodie on the bill it is going to be in our favour, we will think about Sarkodie. When we think getting Samini on the label is going to push it further we will look for Saminiâ€, Sammy Baah said on Kumasi-based Adehyie FM.
Zylofon Media, last year signed some of the top musicians in Ghana.
Some of the signed artists include; BET award winner, Stonebwoy, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing and others.The group recently signed Dancehall King Shatta Wale to the delight of numerous fans.
Sarkodie is one of the most successful Ghanaian artistes with huge international fan base and recognition as compared to his peers in the industry.
With his record label Sarkcess Music, he has signed and helped groom numerous underground artists bringing them to the mainstream.
Most people have however doubted if indeed the fastest Rapper will join his colleagues at Zylofon whiles others argue the BET Award winner may not be prepared to join any record label. “Even if he is prepared, can anyone pay him for signing to another Labelâ€, an entertainment analyst opined.
