There was a scary atmosphere at the Kumasi Circuit Court on Wednesday October 10, when the two members of the Delta Force who were arrested after causing chaos at and disruptions at a meeting involving the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei and his party members were remanded.

The two, a 49-year-old Paul Attah Onyinah and a 51-year old Richard Yaw Brefo have been charged with conspiracy to cause unlawful damage, causing unlawful damage and rioting.

The Court presided over by Her Honour Lydia Osei Marfo remanded the two suspects to re-appear on October 24, 2018.

The prosecution prayed the court to adjourn the case to two weeks to give them ample time for further investigations into the matter.

But the Counsel for the suspects, William Kusi, disagreed with the court for remanding his clients for two weeks, citing misdemeanor as their offense.

He argued that the two weeks period of remand was long but had no choice than to comply.

The two members of the Delta Force were arrested on Monday October 8, after they caused chaos at a meeting between the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo Constituency, Dr. Anthony Okoto Osei, on Sunday, October 7, 2018.
