The vice president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah has revealed that the residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central region have been cursed following the lynching of a young military officer a  month ago.

The late Major Mahama of the 5th Infantry Battalion (5BN) was stoned and burnt to by some residents of the Upper Denkyira West town on suspicion he was an armed robber.

Speaking to a congregation at Cedar Mountain Chapel Assemblies of God Church, East Legon, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah stated no youth in Denkyira Obuasi will grow past 33 years in the town for what they’ve done to the captain.

The apostle in a prophesy added that no leader will emerge from the town.

However, The General Overseer of Royal House Chapel (Ahenfie) said the only way the people of Denkyira-Obuasi can atone for their sins is to embark on a three-day special fasting led by men of God.

Meanwhile Over 60 suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the incident and are facing prosecution after being charged with two counts of murder contrary to section 46 of the criminal code and other offences act of 1960, Act 29 as well as conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder: contrary to section 23(1) and 46 of the Criminal and other Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).
