Natural disasters aren't a new thing in our communities and rainfall has become the most usual culprit.
On the 6th March 2019, around 5 pm, there was a stormy rain that hit the Kpetoe North Electoral Area of the Agotime Ziope District Assembly. It was a huge one that destroyed 441 households leaving the people stranded. Roofs were taken off and a lot of others had flooded rooms as well.
The Assembly Man of the Electoral Area in the persons of Kentle Agbobli visited the 441 households destroyed after the rain around 8 pm and earlier yesterday on the 7th of March, 2019. He visited the affected with the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to take details of items affected for onward transmission to Government for urgent attention.
He quickly on his own accord, made available some exercise and notebooks for the said students to be able to go back to school since without it that would not be possible.
Prince, Mavis and Atsu are part of the students who received such support from the Honorable. They were excited for such gesture and news we got was Atsu who received his books around 12 pm today wanted to dress and go to school that very moment.
The Honorable man, Mr Kentle Agbobli mentioned that "I am very unhappy with what has happened and I am liaising with NADMO in the district to make sure my Electoral members are seen to. I am also using this medium to plead with the general public to extend a hand of help to us, especially, the students since their education might be affected one way or another."
