Ishau Yaro who was shot in the leg during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections violence has appealed to the commission of Inquiry for Justice.
The Commission paid a visit to the victim on Friday, March 8, 2019, to interrogate him as he is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.
According to him: ''I was shot, somebody wanted to shorten my life. I have a family, a wife, and children. How do I take care of my family now?. I appeal to this commission for justice to be done. I need justice, I don't sleep at night because of my pain. I am now thinking about my family and other relations I used to support. I am begging this commission, Justice must prevail''.
On January 31, 2019, during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by election Ishau Yaro, was shot by some masked men from the National Security and his right leg was badly damaged.
According to media reports, a straight shiny metal was been fixed beside the leg to keep it straight because the bullets scattered the bone in the leg.
The Member of Parliament of Ayawaso West Wuogon Lydia Seyram Alhassan visited the victim at the 37 Military hospitals. The MP, deposited ¢5,000 to take care of the bills of Yaro and left her contact with the family members to get in touch with her should the victim need further expenses
Meanwhile, the family members of Ishau Yaro refuted reports that Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Lydia Alhassan, donated the said amount.
