BNI Re-Arrests Akufo-Addo's Security Chief

Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda, head of security for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,  has been re-arrested by officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

The  BNI,  according to JONEWS, effected the arrest in the early hours of Friday, March 25. 

Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Joy FM's NEWSFILE confirmed the arrest saying Captain Koda was never tried by the court. 

The Akufo-Addo security chief, alleged to have invited the three South African security trainers charged with engaging in activities which threaten the security and safety of the country was arrested but rleased on Thursday, March 24 with the surety that he will make himself available to aid the agency finish its investigation of the matter.

Charges against him were reported to have been dropped so the reasons for his re-arrest are yet to be known.
