Children advised against watching pornographic materials

Students have been advised to desist from bad practices such as watching movies, pornographic materials and others unlawful activities that will not add to their educational development.

The District Chief Executive for Nkoranza North District in the Brong Ahafo Region, Gifty Akorsah Arthur, who gave the advice, urged children to rather take advantage of today’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) to better their lives.

The DCE gave the advice when she commissioned three computer laboratories with internet facilities for three basic schools in the District.

The three community basic schools were Asekye- Krukese Presbyterian, Tom D/A and Adoe D/A.

Each of the school Lab had 10 computers and accessories connected with internet.

According to Madam Akorsa Arthur, the gesture of establishing the computer Lab in the basic school is the government's initiative to make teaching and learning easier and making the children computer literate.

She added that, in modern day evolution of ICT taking over the world in all spheres of life, there is the need for them not to be left out.

Madam Akorsah Arthur appealed to the teachers to devote their time to support children.

The DCE advised the children to take their studies serious since education is the key to success of life. 

 Madam Akorsah Arthur urged the schools to ensure good maintenance culture for the facilities.

District Director of Education, Opoku Donyina also urged the teachers to support the children so to be abreast with the utilization of the computers so enable them excel during I.C.T. programmes

 Mr. Opoku said the school authority should also take into consideration of security of their computer Labs to avoid being stolen since some communities in the area have experienced such act.
