President John Dramani Mahama has promoted Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye to the rank of Commissioner of Police.
The promotion Mr Boakye, who is popularly known as Commander One, took effect from June 1, 2016 and has been congratulated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor.

DCOP MR. NATHAN KOFI BOAKYE PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF COMMISSIONER
The President and Commandeer in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama has promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye to the rank of Commissioner of Police.
His promotion takes effect from 1st June 2016. The IGP, Dr. John Kudalor expresses his heartiest congratulations to COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye.
