Former Executive Director of the West Africa Peace Building Network (WANEP), Mr. Emmanuel Bombande has been nominated as a Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration by President John Dramani Mahama.
Largely known for his WANEP role, Mr. Bombande resigned from the unit in 2015 to take up a diplomatic appointment as a Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa and consequently a Special Assistant to the UN General Secretary’s Special Representative to West Africa.

A statement from the Communications Ministry indicated the nomination in addition to those of former District Chief Executive Joseph Agmor Tetteh and the Member of Parliament for Nkwanta North, John Oti Bless, as Deputy Ministers for the Eastern Region and Local Government & Rural Development respectively.
