Former Chairman of the Confiscated Assets Committee has explained that with the system of governance run in Ghana, even the Catholic Pope will be corrupted should he be the President of Ghana.

Mr Carl Wilson said, “we know the pope is an embodiment of holiness but the systems will not help him but will rather make him corrupt”.

“You can bring the Pope and make him the president in Ghana and within one year, you will be calling the Pope corrupt”, he told Onua FM Monday which was monitored by PrimeNewsGhana.

He said the current government is not doing what is expected of them because all the promises he [President Akufo-Addo] gave have not been fulfilled.

“The ship is not heading towards the right direction. The NPP ship is not heading in the right direction and people are calling for change. The ordinary people are suffering”, he explained.

He explained that “I heard 18 factories commissioned under the One-District-One-Factory…we have 216 districts and you are telling us 18 have been commissioned?”

Mr Wilson noted that “I spoke for Ghana prior to the 2016 elections but we were all deceived by the propaganda. We were deceived by the messages but I was campaigning for Ghana”.

He said “I believe in Ghana. I believed what was happening in Ghana at the time was not good”.
