The entire nation will be partly cloudy on Thursday, October 11, 2018, according to the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA).

The GMA said there is a thunder storm in the northern parts of the country and that is expected to hit the three northern regions this morning through to the afternoon.

There was a heavy downpour in parts of the Greater Accra at around 3am on Thursday dawn and according to the GMA, it may continue in parts of the Region.

The Duty Forecaster for the GMA at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra, Emmanuel Sarbeng, who disclosed this in an interview with PrimeNewsGhana on Thursday morning, said “there is some thunder storms in the northern sector so they will experience rains this morning”.

“But the Central part is expecting to be sunny this morning”, he explained.

He said “those in the coastal areas should expect rains. Those in the Eastern and Western will experience some rains. Generally, the weather will be cloudy”.

Mr. Sarbeng added that “in the evening, the Central and Eastern will experience some showers”.

He said “we [Ghana] are in the minor raining season which does not last for the southern and middle parts of the country and it may end by November when the dry season will start”.

The Duty Forecaster said “the sea is rough because it may rain so fishermen should be careful while on the sea”.
