Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, Ishmael Ashitey has asked elders of the Ga state to come out and name the real Ga Mantse to avoid the boiling chieftaincy issues in the Ga state.
Speaking before the Appointment Committee of Parliament, he said the elders are aware of who should be the true Ga Mantse and should be given the opportunity to come out and inform the public accordingly.
This he said would go a long way to avoid the issues with regards to who deserves to be the actual Ga Mantse and the recent objections raised about the enstoolment of a Ga Mantse.
Mr. Ashitey said the chieftaincy institutions, the Greater Regional House of Chiefs, the National House of Chiefs as well as the courts could also assist in settling the issue.
“In my capacity as the Regional Minister, I would assist them so we come together and see our way through,†he stated.
He added that he would also work with the security agencies to make sure that there in law and order in Greater Accra.
