Ghana Education Service (GES) has denied allegations circulating on social media that the service has laid off 40 thousand teachers from the service.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) of GES, Jonathan Betty maintained that there is no iota truth in the information circulating on social media.

“GES wants to tell the public that there is no iota of truth in the information circulating on social media” he disclosed this in an interview on Uniq Fm.

He further added that government has rather notify the service to employ more personnel “we want to say government has notified GES to employ more people into the service so the story is a fallacy”.
