Fire Service commends Marwako

The Ghana Fire Service has commended the Labadi branch of Mawarko restaurant for taking swift action to alert them during the leakage of their gas cylinder.

The service believes steps taken by the restaurant to call the service greatly helped in salvaging the situation at the restaurant which could have resulted in another explosion. 

Gas cylinder leakage on Monday, October 16 made some customers run for their lives after which authorities at the restaurant called the fire service to help solve the situation.

PRO of Ghana Fire Service Prince Billy Anaglatey said the step by the restaurant authorities is recommendable.

According to him, the service in three minutes after the call arrived that the scene and put in measures that prevented the situation from escalating.

He called on every individual and institution to be proactive in calling the service to prevent the cases of gas explosions in the country.
