Police in Konongo are currently for some unknown assailants who abducted and raped a 10-year-girl to death.
The deceased who was reportedly subjected to both anal and vaginal sex by her abductors died a few days after suffering the ordeal.
According to her relatives, she was sent on an errand on that fateful day but did not return after several hours prompting her mother to look for her within the vicinity.
Her parents who later spotted her at a nearby bush lying unconscious and bleeding from her private part rushed her to the Konongo Government Hospital where she was given first aid it was detected she had been raped.
She was later referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she died few days on admission.
The Konongo Divisional Police Commander Superintendent Ohene Boadi Bossman confirmed the incident according to ultimatefmonline.com, indicated that investigations have since commenced to find the perpetrators behind the dastardly act.
