Jake To Be Buried On April 22

The family of the late Jacob Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey,  former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, have revealed the arrangements for his funeral.

 

The body of Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey, affectionately called, Jake,  will be flown in  from London on Tuesday April, 12 and  buried on Friday, April 22, 2016.

This was disclosed by Nii Lante Otanka II, Acting Lante Djan We Mantse, when he and other members of the family called on NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, to inform him of their final funeral arrangements.

“The first part of the funeral will be a pre-burial service on April 21, 2016 at the Accra Ridge Church, from 6pm to 10pm. This will be a Celebration of his Life, and in accordance with his wishes, the attire will be ‘Joyful Colours’” he said, adding that “the second part will be a Burial, Funeral and Thanksgiving Service on April 22, 2016, at the forecourt of the State House, and again, in accordance with his wishes, the attire will be white", starrfmonline reported.

Jake died in London on March 20, this year aged 70.
