The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) have expressed their dissatisfaction over government's decision to dissolve the KNUST Governing Council.
The government today issued a statement to dissolve the current Council due to the impasse on campus. The government has replaced them with an interim Council who are expected to stern the affairs of the school until life returns to normalcy.
UTAG is of the view that, there are enough provisions and mechanisms enshrined in the Act and Statutes for the resolution of such issues.
They, however, made it clear that they do not accept the government's decision to form an interim Council and if the governement fail to overturn its decision, they would advise themselves with immediate effect.
