Minister of Information Mustapha Hamid has admitted that the Kwabenya Police post should not have been the appropriate place to host the jail breakers who killed a police officer in the process of running away.

According to Mustapha Hamid, the status of the Kwabenya police post is not a one of a police station like the Nima Police station with the needed security measures to keep criminals of such nature.

Commenting on the shooting of a police officer at the Kwabenya police post in Accra last week, Mustapha Hamid said the hosting of the jailbreakers by the police post was one of the fundamental flaws that led to the killing of the police officer because the post was not equipped enough to undertake such activity.

Mustapha Hamid further added that with the provision of the needed logistics the Ghana Police Service will be able to perform up to the world standard.
