Kumasi’s onetime radio morning don Kwame Adinkra has returned to his roots after a stint at Accra based Atinka FM.

The man referred to as ‘Apotitimati’ has joined EIB’s Abusua 96.5 FM at Danyame and whiles some reckon Accra’s stiff radio market competition swayed him to return to Kumasi, the burly man himself says he has unfinished work to attend to hence his return.

“I came to Kumasi because I have not finished my challenge. I went to Accra to see the other side of the country. At one point in my life I decided to experience how is it like to work in Accra, there is no pressure, is it the traffic or what, there was no pressure on me and I didn’t see that. It was not an Olympic game.”

Set to host ‘Abusua Nkommo’, Mr Adinkra pledged to continue to be neutral while handling political representatives on his show adding he shall contribute to project the image of the Ashanti region.

“If the New Patriotic Party (NPP) goes wrong, I will criticise them and so is the National Democratic Congress (NDC). I don’t just criticise, it’s about reminding and questioning them of their promises, I have had several problems with big wigs in the various political parties because of the work, but the end game is to see our country develop and see our leaders becoming responsible,” he said.

Kwame Luther Adinkrah King has had stints at Fox FM, Angel FM, Kapital Radio and Atinka FM before landing at Abusua.

It remains to be seen if the Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) guys who manage Starr FM, Ultimate FM, GH One, Kasapa FM, Agoo FM, Live FM, Empire FM, and the Daily Heritage newspaper can retain him for keeps.
