A huge talent is lost, Kweku Baako pays tribute to Ebony Reigns

Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide Kweku Baako has paid tribute to the late dancehall artiste Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng known in showbiz as Ebony Reigns, describing her death as a huge loss to the country.

Kweku Baako said the dancehall diva died too young because she had a bright future ahead of her in the music industry.

Extending his condolence to the family of the late artiste and friends who died with her, Kweku Baako said Ghana has lost a great talent that will forever be remembered.

Ghanaian dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns, has been confirmed Dead in a gory accident on the Sunyani - Accra highway.

Ebony Reigns who was returning from Sunyani after a visit was involved in a car accident and died at the Bechem Government Hospital, but the driver however survived and is receiving treatment.

Reliable information indicates Ebony was returning to Accra to make preparations for a trip to America.

How Ebony Reigns became famous

Ebony Reigns was discovered by renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame when she sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his Rufftown record label just a day after listening to the recording.

Ebony came out with her first single, "Dancefloor", in December 2015 with a video and audio release. The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.

Ebony Reigns had been tipped to sweep the best and topmost laurels on offer at any local awards following the many hits she has churned out in her short but enterprising career.
