For his inability to control his sexual desires, a young man of 23 years  has been jailed to eight months imprisonment.

Nii Nai Sowah was convicted of  indecent assault by an Accra Circuit Court after he had pleaded guilty and prayed for mercy from the judge, Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.
According to the prosecuting officer, Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire, the Sowah was a resident of La, Accra who visited his uncle at James Town also in Accra sometime in  March this year.
During his visit, the convict had been sleeping under a shed with other people including a 35-year-old fishmonger and her 11-year-old daughter.
On April 1, this year, the fishmonger sleeping under the shed with daughter as usual woke up at about 0200hours to urinate.
Soon after, Detective Inspector Atimbire further stated, she left to urinate, Sowah drew closer to her daughter and removed her pants to her knee level and rubbed his penis on her buttocks.

In the process, Sowah ejaculated, smearing his semen on the victim’s buttocks. When Sowah was about to leave, the complainant arrived and raised the alarm.

Prosecution said Sowah was arrested and escorted to the James Town Police Station and later the matter was referred to the Domestic Violence and Victim’s Support Unit.

During interrogation, Sowah admitted the offence in his caution statement, the GNA reported.
