In the Central Region, a 37-year-old man has admitted to sexually assaulting his three stepdaughters.
Abraham Tetteh had sexual intercourse with the three girls – 16, 18 and 20 years – both in their home and in the bush and ended up impregnating the 16-year-old.
In a bid to abort the pregnancy, he allegedly administered a drug to the 16-year-old girl.
At Twifo Damang, near Twifo Praso, police which confirmed the incident said the man will be prosecuted on charges of incest, abortion and defilement.
According to the police, upon receiving the information, they proceeded to Mbaa Mpe Hia No. 2 and apprehended the suspect on Tuesday at about 05:00hrs when the elders of the village had met to resolve the matter.
He confirmed to committing the act during interrogation, the Police said, adding when they arrived at the village, the elders had met on the issue.

Tetteh is in police custody currently and assisting the Police with investigations into the case.
The victims have been issued with police medical report forms for medical examination at a government health facility and report back to the Police with the results.
