The three people jailed for threatening, on Accra-based Montie FM's Pampaso programme, to kill Supreme Court judges over their ruling in the Abu Ramadan-EC case have reportedly been sent to the Nsawam Prison to begin their sentence.

The three, show host Salifu Maase aka Mugabe, panelists, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn who had been earlier found guilty of contempt by the Supreme Court were on Wednesday sentenced to four months in prison each and also fined GHC10,000 each or in default, serve additional time in prison.

Speaking to Citi FM on Thursday, one of the lawyers of the trio, George Loh, said, “My understanding is that they are at the Nsawam prison”.

Their sentence has been commended and condemned in equal measure but it looks many National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters are unhappy.

While some have opened a petition book to get President John Mahama intervene, others have gone as fars cursing him and the leaders of the party.
